Now is the time to fight for liberty! - Don Huffines for Texas Senate

Now is the Time to Fight for Liberty!

Today is the first day of the 85th Legislature, which means now is the time for you to join me in my fight to advance liberty, prosperity, and virtues!

I have big plans for the 85th Legislature, and I’ll be in contact with you regularly to update you on big bills, big votes, and other items of importance in our never-ending fight to advance conservative principles and values. If you’re willing to join me in this effort - and I hope you are! - here are some action items you can take:

Throughout the session, I will provide regular updates via email, social media, and video, so please stay tuned and be ready to act to support good conservative ideas. I’ll also need your help to defeat the failed big government, tax-and-spend, pro-abortion ideas that we know some of the entrenched politicians in Austin will try to sneak past you and me.

By staying together, remaining informed, and seeing beyond the obvious, I know that we can accomplish great things for Texas! Remember: to fully experience liberty, we must have a virtuous society. Instead of turning to government for answers or solutions, I believe in you and the power of the individual to solve most of our issues. By working together, everything is possible. Texas’ greatest days are yet to dawn. Our future is limitless. God bless Texas!

He has been a member of your SD 16 team since the beginning in January 2015. Brent is a Staff Sergeant in the Texas State Guard, and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
