TEA Party Leader JoAnn Fleming Backs Don Huffines for Senate
The Don Huffines campaign in Senate District 16 announced the endorsement of JoAnn Fleming, the Executive Director of Grassroots America – We the People.
“We desperately need constitutionally conservative leadership in Austin – public servants who will put our state government back into a constitution-sized box to cut regulation and spending. This means getting state government back into its proper role – funding those core constitutional functions of state government – not feeding special interests. Don is committed to reining in the ever-increasing size of government. He has proven that not only does he believe in the conservative role of government, but he is putting his words into action,” said JoAnn Fleming. “Don will go to Austin to prioritize spending, enact term limits, and get government out of our lives. I am confident Don Huffines is the kind of leader we need in the Texas Senate, and I enthusiastically endorse him.”
JoAnn Fleming is a two-term Chair of the Tea Party Caucus Advisory Committee for the 82nd and 83rd Texas State Legislature. She is also the Executive Director of Grassroots America – We the People and is a former county commissioner. A leader in the conservative movement for twenty years in policy development, grassroots training, and candidate recruitment, she has also served on twenty-one local government boards, committees, and task forces.
“JoAnn has been a leader for responsible government,” said Don Huffines. “Her endorsement is further proof that my message of the need for term limits, smaller government, lower taxes, and responsible spending is resonating throughout the district and state.”
JoAnn Fleming’s endorsement follows on the heels of Cathie Adams, former Republican Party Chair and President of Texas Eagle Forum.
