Sufficient road infrastructure is essential to a thriving Texas economy, and Texas voters know it. By passing two constitutional amendments, Texans have directed billions of dollars to a core state function: transportation.
But like many millions of Texans, I find toll roads deeply troubling. Texans shouldn't have to pay a toll to simply use infrastructure that was built (or should have been built) with their tax dollars! I'm not the only one who thinks this way - Texas voters have time and again voted against toll road expansion and it's time that our statewide and local planners listen.
Texans are being suffocated by toll roads, and it's proving to be more than a nuisance. I hope you'll take a stand with me on this important issue.
